AntiVirus for MDaemon® is now SecurityPlus for MDaemon!

 

SecurityPlus is the new product name for the next version of AntiVirus for MDaemon 2.2.9

 

Please note: SecurityPlus for MDaemon requires MDaemon 9.5 and above.

 

If you are using a version of MDaemon prior to 9.5 then you will need to continue using the AntiVirus plug-in for MDaemon which will continue to be supported by us and will continue to be available for download and purchase for the foreseeable future.

 

Licence keys for the AntiVirus plug-in and the new SecurityPlus plug-in are completely interchangeable.

The SecurityPlus plug-in replaces the AntiVirus plug-in for MDaemon and requires MDaemon 9.5 or above.

 

SecurityPlus for MDaemon incorporates the latest anti-virus engine from industry leader KasperskyLabs and combines it with a new Outbreak Protection powered by new technology from CommTouch Software.

Please note that the Outbreak Protection feature of SecurityPlus is only applicable when used in conjunction with MDaemon Pro. MDaemon Standard users will only receive normal virus scanning capabilities from the integrated Kaspersky Labs AV engine.

 

CommTouch Software Outbreak Protection enhances email security to an all new level by integrating Zero Hour and Recurrent Pattern Detection (RPD) technologies from industry leader CommTouch Software. Outbreak Protection operates in front of MDaemon’s spam and Antivirus filter to provide incredible detection rates with minimal administration.

 

AntiVirus Protection

 

Unlike other 3rd party antivirus software packages the Kaspersky Antivirus engine within SecurityPlus is designed from the outset to work in conjunction with MDaemon scanning messages at the correct point in the message handling process. Situated directly on the MDaemon® email server, rather than dispersed on each client computer, AntiVirus for MDaemon proactively secures the network by banning harmful email messages at the server.
